Support Timber Frame Designer, Jon on Trailwalker UK 2019
Trailwalker UK 2019. 100km. A team of four. 30 hours. That’s the challenge facing our timber frame designer, Jon Lloyd on 20-22nd September.
Jon, along with three team members, will be completing the gruelling walk in aid of Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
The minimum fundraising pledge for each team entry is £1400. The ‘Pimp My Stride’ team is half way to that target, with just a month to go!
You can support Jon and his team mates by donating online. The team pays an entry fee to cover the cost of the support crew and putting the event on, so be assured that the money raised goes to Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust to support their projects ending poverty around the world.
Trekking across the South Downs, over 500 teams will start from Queen Elizabeth Country Park and finish the Trailwalker UK challenge at Brighton Racecourse.
The average time to complete the trek is 30hours. That’s a continuous walk with pit stops at around 10km approx. The ‘Pimp My Stride’ team will be met at each pit stop by their support crew for food, change of clothes and anything else that they require!
Jon and his team mates will be starting at 06:00 hrs on Saturday 21st September and aim to complete the 100km walk at around midday on Sunday.
