“The project is the provision of family accommodation for the Ministry of Defence as part of the MOD’s Army Basing Programme. Our scheme, in which Taylor Lane are involved, is to deliver 917 homes in a little over two years. The three sites are Larkhill, Ludgershall and, today we’re here at Bulford, where Taylor Lane are building 225 houses for us.
“A key ingredient of the scheme is speed of build. When you consider that the norm in UK low-rise housing, on a typical development, would be one to two units per week; across the three sites here on Salisbury Plain, when Larkhill comes on track we’ll be delivering 26 units per week.
“We have a long history with Taylor Lane. Taylor Lane have worked with Lovell and been part of our supply chain for well over 15 years, that I know to. When I have visited Hereford (on a number of occasions), it’s a welcoming business that’s open, honest and transparent on all matters commercial, design, technical. We quickly derived confidence that they were the right choice for us, that Taylor Lane were the right choice for us, and that’s been vindicated by performance onsite thereafter.
“I’m delighted to say that progress is excellent, we’re moving along very well on Bulford. Having only entered into contract at the end of November last year, and tomorrow we complete our 150th kit. Our first hand-overs will be in December this year and by approximately May 2019 the Bulford site will be complete.”

"We had worked with them [Taylor Lane] previously and were happy to continue that relationship knowing the quality of the frame and the service that we would receive."
John Durkan, Head of Commercial, Morganstone
"We had heard nothing but positive reviews about Taylor Lane and after meeting with Padraig [Taylor Lane’s self-build manager] and talking through our vision, we had no hesitation in our decision to build using a Taylor Lane frame. Padraig was fantastic throughout, as was the supply and delivery of the frame. Every dealing we had with them was a pleasure"
Tori Dutton, Self-builder
"The supply and delivery of materials was well-managed and the quality was excellent. The erection of the frame was carried out promptly and professionally, and completed on programme."
