We are very proud to announce that we have taken the plunge and signed up to join the Greener Footprints ’30 for 2030’ campaign, launched by the Herefordshire Climate and Nature Action Partnership earlier this year – another step on our journey to becoming a net zero company.
The aim of the campaign is to track the progress of 30 Herefordshire businesses as they work towards becoming net zero companies, and in turn, play their role in the progression of the county’s zero carbon ambitions by 2030.
At Taylor Lane, we have been actively playing our part in tackling climate change for a number of years now; through the fitting of photovoltaic panels on our premises, beginning the switch to electric vehicles, and setting up a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee that meets regularly to ensure that becoming a more environmentally conscious company is always on our agenda.
And of course, our core product is known for its sustainable qualities – read here about Timber Frame’s Contribution Towards a Net Zero Future
However, we are very aware that we still have so much more that we can, and must, do in order to become a net zero company by 2050, and so joining the 30 for 2030 campaign made absolute sense to us! Not only does this give us the opportunity to celebrate our ‘green’ wins, but it provides us with the opportunity to draw upon the knowledge and experiences of other companies who are also a part of this campaign – and like most things in life, it’s more fun with a friend!
