Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC)
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is the world’s largest forest certification system. All the timber used by Taylor Lane is sourced from PEFC forests which ensure they are managed globally and locally to ensure that all of us can enjoy the environmental, social and economic benefits that forests offer. We have chain of custody on all sourced timber supplied.
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)
Taylor Lane is Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) approved and registered. CHAS provide general guidelines and best practice on health & safety compliance. They also set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance. Our contractors are also committed to CHAS, providing reassurance onsite and complying with the latest legislation.
Structural Timber Association (STA)
We are members of the Structural Timber Association (STA) which represents the structural timber sector and associated supply chain companies. The STA has an objective to drive quality and product innovation through expert technical guidance and research – underpinned by education, training and event programmes.

CE marking is a declaration by organisations that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant standards and legislation implementing certain European Directives. Taylor Lane has a recognised CE mark for all relevant timber and construction products.
Frame Mark is a timber frame quality assurance scheme designed and audited by Certification & Timber Grading (CATG). This ensures that all our timber frame panels, floor cassettes and spandrels meet the high standards expected by Taylor Lane and our clients.
Greenlight Safety Assessment Scheme (GSAS)
Greenlight Safety Assessment Scheme (GSAS) provides an efficient, cost effective and professional assessment process which has been approved by Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). Taylor Lane Timber Frame has successfully completed the Greenlight Safety Assessment Scheme as a contractor.
Health & safety assessment organisation, Safety Management Advisory Services (SMAS) is a member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). The health & safety documentation supplied by Taylor Lane Timber Frame has been checked by SMAS and Taylor Lane has been awarded a Worksafe Contractor Membership Certificate as a contractor. The process followed the SSIP Core Criteria.
