Record Year Fuels Expansion

Long-established Hereford business, Taylor Lane Timber Frame is on track for a record year in 2025 with turnover expected to increase by more than 30%.  The company also celebrated a record month for turnover in June.

This growth is fuelled by several factors – alongside continued work from high-value existing clients, large-scale housebuilders are switching to timber frame from traditional brick and block construction for speed, ease and to meet environmental goals.  The company also has the positive addition of work coming in from owner, Cala.

Founded in 1982 by co-founders Colin Taylor and Barrie Lane, Taylor Lane was acquired by major UK home builder, Cala in May 2023.

Jon Lane, Taylor Lane Timber Frame Managing Director, comments:

“2025 is a pivotal year for Taylor Lane.  We’re on the cusp of something big – with more and larger housebuilders embracing modern methods of construction, demand is only going one way, and that’s up!

“To meet this, we must recruit – we need more production staff, designers, estimators, contract managers and administrators; people to help us deliver the high quality service and products for which we are renowned.  That’s why we are opening our doors on 17th July.”

Recruitment Open Day

Taylor Lane is hosting a Recruitment Open Day on Thursday 17th July at its head office on Rotherwas Industrial Estate in Hereford.  Open 12PM – 7PM, the event is open to anyone seeking employment in the construction sector.  All are welcome, no previous experience necessary.

The company has current vacancies in Production and Manufacturing, Contract Management, Administration and Design.
