Taylor Lane Orders State-of-the-art Timber Frame Software

Top timber frame kit manufacturer, Taylor Lane, today announces its purchase of Mitek’s state-of-the-art software ‘ WoodEngine’ to replace the company’s existing system. WoodEngine enables complex design information to be manipulated speedily and accurately so ensuring reduced design times. Management reporting, sales and purchase order processing are also part of the package thereby enabling efficient and effective data flow throughout the organisation.

Licences for 20 operators were confirmed by the company earlier this month, representing a £100,000 investment over two years. Barrie Lane, Managing Director at Taylor Lane, says:

Firm Scoops Green Award
HEREFORD company Taylor Lane Timber Frame Limited is celebrating after winning an award for reducing the amount of waste produced at its Rotherwas site. The Herefordshire Business Environment Association, a partnership project between Herefordshire Council and Groundwork West Midlands Environment Charity, presented the award to the firm. Taylor Lane Helps with Eco-friendly Homes
Taylor Lane has recently been involved in one of Hereford’s most energy efficient housing developments. The company provided and erected the timber frame kits that now form ‘Barton Place’ in Hereford’s City Centre. The development’s unusual design comprises seven houses and nine flats for rent, and six homes that have been sold on a shared ownership basis.
