Colin\'s New Year Swim
Posted on the 21st January 2008

Joint managing Director Colin Taylor, his daughter Rachel and family friend Paula Perks braved the chilly sea in the Saundersfoot New Year’s Day swim, dressed as sheep! They were sponsored by colleagues, family and friends in aid of the Macmillan Renton Appeal for a new cancer centre to be built in Hereford, as Colin’s wife and hundreds of other patients currently have to travel to Cheltenham for treatment.

865 swimmers took to the water, the majority in fancy dress, making this the largest New Years Day swim in the UK.

Colin said “the atmosphere was fantastic, the village was really buzzing for the rest of the day as thousands of people come to watch”

With the sponsor money rolling in, their total raised is close to £400, for which they will receive a coveted “Blue Tit” award and a medal.
